My 710M has the Pertronix ignition installed with the original coil, distributor, ignition wires and spark plugs.
Is it worth changing to a full civil ignition with new coil, distributor cap, wires and plugs ?

Are you having issues with your current ignition system?

The biggest drawback to the OEM ignition is that is costs a freakin' ton of cash to replace if you have a failure. Most of us have an OEM with wires, etc. sitting in a bag somewhere, but replacing them is still expensive because they never make it to market. The Pertronix, a set of cables, and a new coil are relatively cheap and simple to replace and cheap to have spares if you need them. The BPR6S NGK plugs cost about $8 for a set. I think we all have the original points in a bag too, just in case someone triggers an EM pulse weapon. lol My personal feeling is that mine runs so well with just the pertronix upgrade that I have never felt the need to move up to the Pinz SSI system.
