DIN AUX 24V socket

Post by rmel »

Got sick of the poor connection to the 24V DIN power socket.
These sockets are located under the dash on the turn signal "Blinker"
plate, behind the Locker box and in the LH side Trail light area on
some models.

Found this replacement on AMZN that fits perfectly. It also has
a nut that cuts into the steel to make a good ground connection.

What issues have you had? I've been using the one by the four-way flasher control and not had any issues. Is the linked Amazon one just a tighter fit?

The original was just worn out. The mating piece inside the
female connector was slayed out from use and repeated tweaks
to bend it back in place just didn't work anymore. The new one
"appers" to be a better construction -- for a change.
