Hello
Does this mean that I can't use GL-4 all around?

GL-4 won't hurt anything, but may discolor from heat sooner.

Hello
When you say that it will dis-color sooner, does that mean that it will break-down sooner or simply change color and last just as long as the GL-5 ? The reason I ask is, the manual recommends SAE 80 (Specification MIL-L-2105) for every gear box, even the steering.

When the manual was written, GL-5 wasn't around yet. The closest thing to MIL-L-2105 is GL-4. GL-5 is better than GL-4 for almost anything but the syncros in the tranny. GL-5 is too slippery for the syncros.
I use GL-4 (Redline MT-90 synthetic) in my tranny but I use conventional GL-5 in everything else.
