Does anyone have a direct link or "snail-mail" info for obtaining the build data on one's Pinz? It is referred to in a recent post, but I've never seen it on this forum or Yahoo.

Cheers,

Bob

actually, the thing ppl want is "build date". i think "build data" might be a misspelling. so i just emailed magna in austria my debit card number and they emailed me back a scan (.jpg) of a file card that they have of all the id numbers and dates of births of all the things of my truck. mine was built 1975.10.17.

Critter- A Pinzgauer must be at least 25 years od (or was it 30?) to be brought into the USA. There were some trucks that were imported illegaly by changing the year of manufacture. It is wise if you think that there mught be a chance that your unit is one of these or just want piece of mind you can check your vehicle's data plate against the records at the factory. In my case it matched exactly and it was born on Sept. 24, 1975. Interestingly the unit serial number 1 above mine was finished on Sept. 22, 1975.
