Castrol VMX 80?

Hi All
I have just replaced all of my drivetrain lubricants with Castrol VMX 80 Manual, transmission & axle fluid. The ony reason i am mentioning it is that the old stuff that came out (presumably stuff that was put in by the Swiss army) was quite a bit thicker than the VMX 80. Has anyone used this and is it Ok?
