Haven't seen this one...
When backing out of the driveway in the morning, I hear a mechanical "popping" noise coming somewhere from the rear of the Pinz. The noise doesn't recur, even after sitting for a few hours, only when I start off in the morning. Any suggestions?
Thanks,
Steve

To be more specific, that transmission clunking if related to the parking brake can often be observed from outside the vehicle. Merely have a trusted driver back up the truck and observe the course adjuster rod at the park brake. If the rod (and therefore the park brake assy) is binding slightly you will see it kick or jump when the knock occurs. We place our hand on the rod assy as the truck backs up to "feel" the activity but do this only if you can trust who's behind the wheel!
