Has anyone made their own tool to check the float level on the carbs? I would like to check mine and syncronize them. S.A.V. sells one but they want $96 for the tool. It doesn't look like there is much to it other than the fitting, some clear plastic tube and a little bracket. Just wondering if someone had any tips on how to one?

Actually I was in the process of ordering one today with Sarah at S.A.V. and she quoted me a price of $96. I told her that the price on their website was only $27 and she said that the price had gone up from her supplier. They do have a few in stock, and she said that they are looking for another supplier, but when the suppliers price goes up, S.A.V.'s price goes up. That's why I posted about fabricating my own. That seems awful expensive for about $10 worth of materials.
If anyone knows the proper dimensions or where to get a cheaper one, please let me know.

OH CRUD! I've been putting off buying one and the synchronizer. That and the rediculously expensive tool for bleeding the front brakes.
