THE PORTAL HUB - Pinzgauers, Haflingers, Volvo 303s and more!

The other day by my Pinz started sounding like a old VW bug with no muffler. Looked under and found a header bolt missing. Funny enough that the Car Qwest in Moab had a replacement. After replacing the bolt the normal sound came back.

My question is that do you think by changing the header bolts and gasket and mking sure everything is all nice and tight that the noise would be reduced? I was amazed on how quiet (in pinzgauer terms) tightening up one missing bolt and one loose one did..... Just a thought.

Just tightened mine up today. Had a few that were loose, but only a turn or two. That was enough it made a huge difference in the noise level inside the cab.
