I plan on using my M416 trailer behind the pinz on my next road trip.

Does anyone know where i might get a strobe/flashing light to put on the rear of the trailer in the event that I am traveling at night? Not really bright enough to offend, just enough to get attention...and, would this be legal?

Usually I just used the flashers like the big rigs do, but that was before the tailer.

Look at the motorcycle shops. I have seen a few of the bikes around here using a third red light that sort of flashes to get your attention while drivning down the road.

Here is a unit that is ovbiously designed for the brake light but I think could be hooked into a third light.

You could also use cateye lights. They are mostly used on bicycles but would also work for your intended purpose. I don't see any legal issues as it would be no different then running you four way flashers as a caution indicator. A quick call to the DMV might give you an answer.

Morris,

As I recall, at one point Home Depot sold an inexpensive stick-on red flasher. They must have been cheap because I bought a few for the kids and then had to wait forever for the batteries to wear out so I could throw them away.
