The world's ugliest Pinz?

We just picked up a 712AMB that has to be one of the ugliest Pinzi's ever. I'm sorry if the previous owner lurks here, but what were you thinking when you painted this truck?
This is going to be our shop truck; it will definitely be far from stock when we're done.
The laundry list of missing or parts that need repair is pretty long, but most of them aren't required for the rock crawler that we're going to build.
The big plus: It just got back from Jim LaGuardia's. He built us one of his special 2.7 w/cam motors, so we should be able to do 6 wheel burnouts when we're done.
Here are some pics:

and yes, it does have the kitchen sink and a propane stove!

That thing is beautiful, except for doors, seats and missing snorkel. Six wheel burnouts, MUST HAVE VIDEO!!! I can believe it might be possible since Jim did the engine! Hey, even if it's just in mud, I want to see the burnout videos.
BTW, I love the sink/camper, if it would fit in my 710K I would equip the same.

If you were closer, I'd give them to you. Most likely the whole ambulance box is either going to be cut up to make a pseudo 712M, or we'll just use it for a shed. It definitely isn't staying on as is.

Also missing: limiting straps, shocks (thanks Jim for the spare shocks!) engine cover, assorted bolts, batteries, etc. We're hoping to have the truck done in rough form by June.

I called it "Ugly Betty", nothing screams project unless it comes in multiple boxes, and there were a few

It's already got a name... "ugly duckling". Mostly because it's going to be yellow.

I like those. I surely wouldn't turn it away if I could get hold of one.

I think the UPS truck might be a little more aerodynamic. But, I agree, gimme one of the new ones and I wouldn't let pride or any other such nonsense get in the way of keeping it.

Well, the truck's been sitting for the past 4 months with no work being done until 2 weeks ago when we realized that MOGFEST was coming in less than a month.
Jim has been working in overdrive trying to get the truck done (meaning functional and safe) by Mogfest.
I thought that anyone who has an ambulance, or even wants a different /safer cage would enjoy these pics from yesterday. Andre Swanson, who many of you know, built us a cage that he and Jim Tucker had designed to fit on our bastardized ambulance. What an addition to the truck and we haven't even bolted it in yet as we're waiting for paint and some more bodywork to be done.
It took some real GUTS to build a cage like this!

I dunno...true the paint job leaves a little sumthin to be desired, but the cage is actually cool. Are you going to put a cover on it or will it just be a cage? Must be nice to have talent or practical skils.

BTW, I forgot to thank Andre for the speed and quality of his work. It's amazing what someone with a welder and talent can do in less than a week!!!

We might put a stock 712 canopy on it, according to Andre it should fit perfectly. If not that, we'll have a temporary canopy/tarp for Mogfest put on to shade the kids.
