SUPACAT :twisted: Meow :!: Brought Dave out his new trailer and Got to drive Garfield over the weekend, what a gas. Very interesting to get used to , feels like riding a big wave runner.
I'll see if He can Post up some Pic's soon.

I am a little envious of Dave Dunn since his Supacat is a later machine than either of mine and has the 1900 turbo engine where both mine are powered by the 1600 normally aspirated engines.

Also to correct a little mis information before anyone else notices - these pics are both of 'Bert' my hardcab Supacat. When I get 'Bo' back from the repairs shop I'll post some pics of the ragtop.

Is there away to tell the two engines appart by looking at the body styles? Great pics David G. david Dunn had commented on the fact the leave very little tire track do you have any pic's looking behind the Cat?

Hi Erik M

In answer to your to your question about tracks I have been out on the hills behind the house here about 4 or 5 times heading in the same direction. I am trying to drive to a disused road about 3 or 4 miles away, LOL each time I go out I have to way find all over again as you can't see where the Supacat has been on previous outings.

Travelling over dirt that has been well churned up by other vehicles would leave an imprint and so too on some sand. So far the only problem that I have had so far was to mistake a vegetation covered pond for a vegetation covered bog. I got to a point where there was more friction on the hull than I could get traction from the floating vegetation. Kinda got me a bit worried for a bit because I would probably have been waist deep if I had needed to get out of the cab, as it was I threw it into reverse and paddled back the way I had come and exited up a steep (40º plus) bank.

The only way I would have gotten out otherwise would have been to walk home and borrow a tracked 360º excavator to pull the Supacat out.

I am hoping to get some driving experience in on Supacat's own 'proving ground' next month, if that comes off I woold hope to get plenty of interesting action pics and some vid as well.

Garfield went out in the wilds for the first time today, and found a little water from the recent rains...rain, in California? :roll:

Don't know what I was thinking? :? Should never take a 6 1/2 ft wide rig on a ATV trail, especially along the ridge of a hill....thank goodness for the combination of Ackerman and skid steering :D

Good fun, its very versatile. :)

If there were any ground clearance issues it looks as though there is room for slightly taller tyres.

Dave, Looked like fun. was the water deep enough to see if the cat floats?
