Hi Guys,
I'm busily gearing up for my State of Wis. Dept. of Admin., Div. of Hearings & Appeals case. I've got a TON of evidence.
I'd like to have a TRUCK as evidence.
I'm working on getting one there on a trailer, and expect to drag everybody out into the parking lot to look at it. I'd LOVE to have a dozen, licensed, legal, out-of-state trucks there too.
I asked nicely to get my registration back. It got me nowhere. It won't hurt my feelings if DMV looks foolish.
I will submit an evidence list which includes "at least one Pinzgauer".
This is an open invitation for any Pinzgauer owner: Come to my hearing, and I'll buy you dinner and beers at our local brewery, and you can camp on my land. It might be the first Annual Midwest Treffen!
The hearing is July 14, 2008, in the conference room at the Div. of Hearings and Appeals, 5005 University Avenue, Suite 201, Madison, WI.
Call, write, or just jump in your Pinz and drive.

I would love to drive up there! I know having out of state LEGAL Pinzes there will make a huge impression!
Just a bit far for me AND I would need to drive through two States which frown upon my right to carry.

i would TOTALLY drive over.
unfortunately, I don't (yet) have a pinz. I am actively shopping for a 710K, tho.

Well hell, Russ. Leave 'em home and come on up. We got plenty of shootin' irons to go around!
Seriously though, that'd be a long commute. But I do appreciate the enthusiasm.
The offer's still open to anyone who can make it.
Cheers everybody,
Paul

Hey Indigoth,
Are you aware that Stauffer Classics, right here in little ol' Blue Mounds sells Pinzgauers? George is a licensed Wisconsin dealer. He has several trucks for sale right now. And while Wisconsin has seen fit (SO FAR) to boot our asses off the roads, George can still sell them. Check out Jerbearyukon, who just bought one from George and drove it back to the Yukon territory.
Come up for the Hearing, stay and test drive George's trucks.
Either way. I hope you find a truck. I'm a little more nuts about Pinzes than some guys are. But they are awesome little vehicles. Good luck.

Paul,Considering comming out to show support for your effort, would be trailering the pinz behind the motorhome, wanting to also bring along support from others along the way, (fuel sponsorship would be great) I imagine picking up photos of pinz owners along our route with their pinzies showing license and reg, so we can assemble a photo album that we can display, I am even thinking of writing Gov. Swartzeneger and asking for his support as well, not sure with the time we have but will try.I see us driving out I 80 most of the way and any pinz owners that can host a 40ft motorhome pulling a trailer, that would be cool but not a requirement, again this trip is to show support for you and other Wis. pinz owners and will be happy to come, but the fuel bill we calculate to be somewhere around $2500.00 round trip, those that are willing to donate to the cause can email me here for info, we would also like to have photos of you and your truck, also this is still in the planning stage and any input would be appreciated. We have the time as school don't start for our son untilĀ July 21st (year round school) and it appears tp be only a 3 or 4 day drive.

Hello Eric,
Hey, that's a cool idea. That'd make a nice showing.
But I have to tell you, all of my evidence needs to be turned in, no later than July 1 (next Tues.). I don't think I can turn things in later than that.
But I hope to move everybody to the parking lot to actually see a Pinzgauer, and if there were a bunch, that would be great. A bloody great horde of 'em.
I've go space for camping, etc. Anyone's welcome! (I even asked my wife!)
ka,
Thank you for that observation. Let us hope it's auspicious.
As a friend of mine observes, Essayons!
