I did a search and there doesn't seem to be a recent thread on voltage convertors. I recall reading about the Solar Convertor Inc. unit and tracked down a 20 and 50 amp unit on there website. I recall reading about the installation of a similar unit on the SDP website, however, it is no longer up. Is this still a good unit to consider and does anyone have the article/ directions from the SDP site?

I am planning on running an am/ fm radio, charging the cell phone, GPS, and possibly a laptop. My thought was to wire it to a third dedicated 12v battery and use it as an equalizer/ charger, if I remember the article correctly.

Any suggestions or your expereince will be greatly appreciated.
