Norcal,

I am a bit behind you with removing the body from my 712. Relying on teenage slave labor makes schedules unpredictable.

Did you disconnect the parking brake from the rear and thread the cable through to the front, or disconnect from the front and leave the rear intact?

My only mistake so far was not disconnecting the speedo cable before removing the body bolts. The "pop" of the body put some strain on the speedo cable, but I don't think I injured it.

i disconnected it at the rear and routed it towards the front follow the cable and take note of brackets and stuff i left mine connected at the handbrake.

Thanks!

Given my warped outlook on life, I kinda want to rig up the chassis so I can drive it around the block at least once without a body.

I have already driven without an exhaust. I don't think there is a cat on the block that didn't have the feline equivalent of a butt-pucker.
