Well I got up early this morning to pack my pinz for an Xtreme Camping get together at the beach. 3 hour drive. Stopped to get ice and no reverse. Further inspection showed that the bushing in my gearshift rod was gone. Guess I will be staying home this holiday.

Wondering how many of you have experienced this??

Should I be carrying an extra one?

Jim,

Thanks for responding. The part #7101242400. It's the 7-8" rod that holds, stabalizes the shifter linkage #7101242302/30 to the tranny.
How often do these wear out?

They are pretty robust. I have only replaced 1 due to wear.
