Howdy Do Guys,
Just popping my head around the door to say Hi,
I have been "into" 4x4's for a fair number of years owning several types of Solihulls Finest,
But now I am Hankering after something a little bit more,
I have been interested in PinzGauer's for more than a liitle while and thought this would be a good place to start,

Hi from Hants

Hi Chaos. Welcome to the fold. I'm up in Sheffield, allways happy to talk about and show off Pinzgauers, I have a few here if you want to take a look and have a drive.

Hi Chaos, I,m in Swindon, Pinzmeister is being a bit coy, he is the 'uber' Guru of Pinzgauers in UK as far as I know. I have also long been playing with Landrovers and have a 69 Series 2a SWB at the moment. I also have a very nice Pinzgauer 710k fitted with a Mercedes 2.9ltr 5cyl Diesel, converted by the Pinzmeister. You can come look see any time, but do take the time to go see the Pinzmeister (I didn,t have time to look at his Haflingers properly so make a day of it) I bought without even driving one but having said that I,ve driven a lot of different military vehicles over the years, I haven,t been dissapointed with the Pinz, either its driveability or fuel economy (with the diesel) The only thing I would change is to have a turbo version of this engine, not for speed, but for storming up hills on the road. She tackles the off road stuff with much less fuss than a petrol Pinz, just over tickover gets her up the side of deep ditches etc. All I can say is that a Pinz is really lightyears ahead of a Landrover, but its only fair to say that they were designed for different things and different prices, you could probably buy 3-4 Landrovers for the price of a new Pinz back in the 70,s. Hiya!
Welcome to the fold. The guys on here helped me out a lot and are very knowledgable (well - mostly - there's the odd twonk

).
I've had more offroaders than you can shake a stick at - Landies, Rangies, Suzes, Datties, Jeeps... got a 712M (6x6) 12 months ago and I've been really impressed - good offroad, fantastic quality of engineering, reliable, great "WOW" factor driving a military 6x6... And its reluctantly up for sale (due to family commitments) - let me know if you are interested.
Have to say that I looked into 101s before buying a Pinz and there really is no comparison. Certainly don't regret my choice for a moment.

Hope to see you out there,

Sadly this is the first year in about 7 that I have missed the Newbury show!!! all due to it not being very important if I,m off to Poland for EVER next spring. (at least they have good airshows in Poland where Russki fighter planes fall out of the sky -better if the pilots eject!!!!!)
