I know some folks are using various steering wheel wraps, so which is the best and what size?

I like the lace-up type steering wheel cover. They're not easy to find for a steering wheel the size of the Pinzgauer, 17 1/2". Try a truck stop store. You might get a Wal*Mart version to work that is made for a car, but you have to stretch it a lot and it could tear. I know.

I have the above lace-up cover and like it too. A regular sized one will not fit. I got mine at an RV supply store. They also have many 24V accessories!

Not a great picture of mine:
Wheelskins solid grey stitched at the seam, forget the size I got but it was a standard size. If you want to add padding to increase the thickness of the grip on your steering wheel you'll have to contact them for a custom order. From what I understand they do not charge extra for custom orders up to 18" diameter.

I got a leather one off ebay that fits so well you would think it was custom. The stock steering wheel rim was way too skinny for me and $24 with shipping was an inexpensive way to fix it.

The seller keeps listing them so just keep checking ebay if that listing ends. There is an old post with a photo of that cover and a brick and mortar source:
