accelorator pump

Guys I have read it both ways on which hole the accelorator pump arm goes in. I am trying to get rid of the hesitation right off idle. Would it be fartherest from the rubber plunger or middle or the closest. Mine is at the fartherest point right now. What say you guys? And do you have a hesitation? Thanks for any input.
