I was browsing YouTube and came across this video. It looks like one of the former Red Bull trucks has a new owner and a new commercial application. Good for them!

"All transfer cases and axles have been recently serviced, as well as the engine and transmission"

Everyone who was at Mogfest knows what that means!

Erik,
As I had almost bought the RTPT #2..so i remembered the Batmobile of the Batman..anyway here is the link to the firm.

http://www.a2zfx.com/a2zfx.html

(check promo & movie vehicles menu of the left hand side.. also vehicles section has pictures of the RTPT build process [JimT had told me of this])

I believe both Jim(s) had mentioned to me that RB had contracted the RTPT building to these guys..

Jim L would remember the Lobsters that DSD had talked about..maybe somebody/Vince can find that forum thread link...

Came and went!

This is probably the ex Texas demo RedBull unit which we have seen before--only less so!
There wasn't a lot to do to it, except the carburetors were hanging off----as they were when we saw it last!

Food for thought though, was the fuel tank having been replaced for an Austrian unit and was found hanging off! The filler hose consequently was departed from the tube & was gushing gasoline out when filled.

Other than a quick tune--it even still has contacts (points) in it, the unit ran quite well even with the O/D box slung behind the engine.
made for an exciting time when pulling out & merging into traffic.
Dennis
p.s. At least it hadn't been fed on easystart---Common cause of Pinz engine failure!

Look's like #4 Same damaged headrest and small tear in the gripe tape. http://www.pinzgauer.com/shpics.php?tab ... &idnum=112 Said to here about the carb as it had just been installed according to SAV must have been done by one of those sloppy mechanic shops.

Well I dunno
But put it this way--He lost a tranny somewhere out on the plains getting it to Utah before it SEIZED--NO OIL.
Who or what went wrong I didn't ask--I simply saw no reason to enquire quite frankly--we checked the level when it was here and it was found good on all boxes!
I know nothing of it's history since it was in my shop about a year ago for evaluation. Then, the carbs were hanging off and the clutch burnt out but that was a year ago! In this business a lot can happen in a year.

I don't critique other shops work its unprofessional, nor do I offer unfound comments on boards such as this!
It is simply not constructive!
You appear to be posting something that might be regarded as innuendo, again this is NOT Kosher. If you are pleae refrain!

As for the rips tears and dings and dangs--The guy was happy with what he got from wherever he bought it. That's the main thing.
Very best regards
Dennis
