Wow, you picked up the nicest Pinz around. I was trying to find pictures of that one a few weeks ago for my interior work. Welcome to the gang!

Mark W Koch, the hollywood director[Prelude Pictures] of 'Lost in Space' owned & had converted it through the CWRI guys. {~200K in todays greenbacks..}

I agree with Jim Tucker - it is the most professionally done up { @Graz ..who am i kidding!?} 710K in this continent!

I was close to purchasing it a few months back ..but for those who know..opted to choose Mike's 712M instead..over this famous one & the other famous RedBull #2

The amount of fun ..that you will have driving this ..is 'insane'

oh yes - welcome to the forum..& do post pictures :-)

I had to read all of the posts to realize which 710K you were talking about. Congrats on the purchase of this very unique truck. You didn't "steal" it but you did get it for MUCH less than the seller had originally sought. I saw it a few years ago at Thilo's shop in Prescott, AZ and the price tag was very high.

All you need to do now is line up a local repair source and you should be all set. This forum community will be a gold mine for information, advice, encouragement, scoldings and everything in between.

Welcome aboard.

My beleifs don't allow me to desire my brethren's posessions, but man how difficult that is!! :D :D :D

Honestly my biggest congratulations. I will stop by at NH on my way to Montreal one day just to see the truck once more.

Enjoy and please, don't drive that beauty over the sandy roads, we don't want rust to eat it away....

The owner is new and the pinz might as well be for all that has been done to it. I saw that one on the lot on one of my visits.

You got a good deal there, it's beautiful, and I believe Mike and Jim did a good job of wiping away the drool that all of us that saw it left behind.

Cheers,
Morris

Thanks to everyone for the warm welcome, I'm sure that I'll be relying on the collective knowledge of the group but I hope to also contribute to the community as well.

Just a few days more and it should be in NH.

Hi Dave, from another 710k owner residing in England, but soon to be in Poland. They are amazing to drive, and it,s capabilities will take a while to explore, you will chicken out lots of times before it does. One thing people fail to mention is the fact that a jeep or a Landrover may be able to climb that muddy bank with engine revving and tyres flailing mud everywhere, but the Pinz will do it at barely over tickover, almost no wheelspin and make it look so easy. I don't know about a Landrover, but I do know that either of my Pinzgauers when fully loaded (1 ton or 1.5 tons) will idle up hills that my 3/4 ton, diesel Ford, 4X4, p/u strains to go up unloaded.

Best of luck with your new truck!

You did steal that truck, it's a wonderful piece, probably the nicest 710K anywhere. I've had the privilege of driving that truck around San Diego and Ramona on numerous occasions, and it always surprises me in how civilized it is.

I remember when I picked up the truck from Thilo's a couple of years ago because the seller wanted to have it closer to her home in San Diego. I was shocked at how well put together this conversion was.

Enjoy it for years to come, I guarantee you'll be the center of attention at every Pinzgauer or off road gathering you attend.

Thanks very much Michael.... Its been an absolute pleasure and a dream to drive. Yes, its getting a LOT of attention around town here in NH.... Not many on the east coast and I hear daily (I've never seen one of those before). The "Ark" as she is now known will receive lots of TLC and wont be subject to the salt on NH roads in the winter.

I'm very thankful for all the extra care and effort by Jim and Ramona Motors during the "paperwork" and shipping process, you guys made it easy and I really appreciate it.

Will post pics as things happen. She is slated to get VHF radios (which reminds me I need to start looking for the antenna mounts) scanners, Data/Comms, and some other electronic goodies after the new tires are on.

Dude..what a sweet pinz! I am so close to getting my own prob another 2 weeks and am counting the days..I can hardly wait. I had my first pinz encounter in new hampshire in conway at the alpine adventures we were heading out to property that would test the prowess of the pinz and I was told this would be an adventure..little did I know just how much of an adventure this would be...just as we were turning off the highway onto the 4wheeling property we were t-boned by a car trying to pass us on the wrong side..this dude was doing at least 40mph when he hit us. The driver had a broken arm and after checking on my 4 kids who were unhurt and the other family along with us got out and shut power off to the batteries just in case of raw fuel. I was amazed the damage was confined to the battery box and the pinz was relatively unharmed. The owner of alpine adventures nervously approached stating there would be refunds for everyone and some free trinkets. What?? are you kidding? you have another pinz get it out here I yelled Im from NY are you kidding? I wanna ride...I had such a good time I promised myself one day I too would have my own Pinz...so now the time is near!...I hope to meet up with you on my yearly camping trip to russel pond in North conway maybe you could show me around some cool logging roads you will undoubtedly explore....good luck with your awesome pinz!!! :D :D :D
life is like a box of chocolates...you never know which one you might get

I'm sure you'll be driving right by if you are going from NY to N. Conway. You'll have to let me know when you are headed up there. Hope you end up with a Pinz... Do you already have one picked out or are you still looking?
