Hi All
I have a choice between two tyres for my 710M both are 255/85 x 16. It is either BFG AT or Cooper ST. The Coopers are slightly more aggressive tread and about $200 cheaper for the 5 tyres. I had the same size BFG MTs on my last truck and was really pleased with them but this time I want something a bit more suited to soft sand.
Has anyone got any experience of the Cooper St tyres?
Thanks
Sam

My 716 came from Sweden with Coopers, and have run them on many vehicles before. Also many sets of BFGs, never had a problem because of the manufacturer.... when that rock bites the tire right, they all hiss.

'Costs per tire are expected to be the same or less than current units. Delivery is anticipated for 2011.'
That explains the cost. But what is the cost of the current unit?
If it is for the military the cost is not important, but for you and I it might be a deciding factor.

From what I under stand cost will be close to $500 a tire. But remember you're buying the rim and all. I think there are a few fitted with them all ready. I saw one on a trailer while I was driving down the turnpike. Hence, the search and finding the article.

I have had great luck with Coopers. In my opinion, they are BETTER than BFG's. I prefer the 285 75R16 size in the ST-C model. The "C" stands for cut resistant. They are cheaper still than the BFG's too!

I too have had great luck with the Coopers. I just bought a set of the ST's for $168 per tire.
