Something looks fishy here... Craigslist Pinz ads

Take a look at these two ads:
http://detroit.craigslist.org/wyn/cto/1679338490.html
and
http://miami.craigslist.org/mdc/cto/1678968650.html
Now the locations are very different and so are the numbers. There were several redundant posts yesterday similar to the Florida version. I'd hate to see scam artists specifically focusing on Pinzgauers

Seems like this would explain it:
"I am selling this truck for my 93 year old father who no longer uses it."
Maybe I'm just stereotypical, but I'm betting Dad is the one who lives in Miami.

Interesting pics. Maybe he's had it for a long time, but it looks like two different plates and the top left pic shows the gas cans vertical instead of horizontal like in one of the other pics. Different names and numbers to call too, brothers?

It does look fishy... Its quite common for scammers to snag a picture and post multiple listings, in fact, One of the most common that I've seen is Honda Rebels....Several years ago when my wife was looking for one, we found numerous scams related to those bikes. Wouldnt surprise me if that were the case here as well. Different names, different numbers and locations are all red flags IMO

I say they are fake. The license plate is neither Michigan or Florida. Selling for my 93-year old Dad? It doesn't take a Sherlock to figure out that lie.
give a break..

Ok... I called the Dave guy in Florida.
The truck belongs to his brothers Father in Law and they have family in the Detroit area as well - the truck is in South Florida.
All the pictures are of the same Pinz - from different years before/after work was done.
He said if anyone wants current pictures/info - please reply to the ad and they will gladly send more pictures.
I have no connections - just made the call to find out what the deal was.
Have a great day.
