Floor Vent

I've seen a couple Pinzgauers with floor vents that pop open to the outside near the passenger and drivers feet. I'm having zero luck finding a pair to add to my Pinzgauer and I can't even find the correct term for them to search for on Google or on here. Any help? Would really like to get some more air flow going through the cab.

I would like to see a picture of one.

I think a floor vent would let in more noise than air, however.

The only noise it should let in is wind noise.

Dave,
went to this site as recommended by a friend in a LR club...Roversnorth.com

Could not find anything except the dual vents under the windscreen that are almost full width of the vehicle. Which year LR and model are the vents that you know of from? I would think they would be for the engine and in the side of the vehicle under the bonnet, but none are visible in any shots of LR's.

Finally remember that I kept seeing them on Unimog 404's.

Morris,
The vents were an option/ or an add-on for tropical climates. Though I wasn't able to find a pic, I did find reference to a pn: STC1346 for a roof vent. It may be a different vent from what I had seen used. The vent could have been discontinued.... it was a very basic design.... heck, it may not have been made of automotive use originally.
Most all the North American Land Rover parts houses cater to the "modern" Rovers, and carry only the mainstream Series parts. Using a website may not find what you're looking for.... Rovers North, Atlantic British and British Pacific are suppliers that all pre-date the web, and talking to the "right" person that has the knowledge of the Series can go a long way.
In my business relations, I have always called my vendors to develop a relation with a person.... more than just staring at a computer screen, though in some cases, emails are 99% of my contact with a company, I will still call to maintain a personal relationship, and be able to get info you will never find on a website. ( and with that last remak, I think I'll call some friends in the UK I haven't spoken to in a few months :D )

My 712 came with the vents and they do an awesome job! I have seen horse trailers with them, but did not get the maker.

FWIW- in old VW circles they're appropriately called "crotch coolers"
