Topic reply notifications

Does anyone actually get these or has it been disabled? The box is ticked every time I reply to a thread, but I've never had a notification e-mail
Another thing is that some IPs are kicked or bounced as spam and you won't get the notification. I have that problem with one of my account with UK IPs and the reverse.
A real pain in that one of the people I regularly email is a MoD contractor and their emails are bounced by my primary email
