Rain Pouring in through window channels

I've had my 712 for about 2 months and being in San Diego, have not driven in rain until today (STORMWATCH 2010! TV reporters standing in the drizzle with foul weather gear- etc. while people walk by in shorts). Today while driving to work, I was surprised at the amount of water that pools up in the front of the window channels to the point that it overflows and pours over, pooling along the top of the lower door panel and running down the inside of the door panels. The moulding/channel along the bottom appears to be in fine shape, but the open channel next to the outside rear half of the slider fills up and moves forward filling up the open channel on the inside of the front half and overflowing....Is this just a common characteristic of the Pinz?
I imagine it wouldn't be as bad on the highway as it was in town-speeds. but most of my driving is in town...
Grateful for the forum,
Jorgo
