WANTED: Pinz VIN# 5750645 Wisconsin Area (?)

Post by undysworld »

Weird request, I know.

I'm working with two other guys here, pushing the local DOT to issue title/registration for U.S Army CUCV's. As part of an Open Records Law request we made, this vehicle was identified. For the owner's anonymity, I won't publish the details, but suffice it to say it's nothing negative about the owner or the vehicle.

If you own this vehicle, or can help me find the current owner, please pm me. I'd like to offer them the info I have, and hopefully ask a couple questions.

If any of you dealers have an easy way to check VINs, and could either assist me or pass my name along to the owner, that would be great.

Thanks,
Paul Underwood

ps, I'd ask DOT, but they'd redact any personal info.

Any one know what happened to that Steyr Puch e-mail address that you could send the VIN # to and they would tell you when it was made?

The answer arrived by pm this morning. (Gotta love this forum!) Thanks to all who checked, sorry you didn't win the Lotto millions!

The vehicle had been denied registration, and I wanted to be sure the matter had been resolved. It had been taken care of.

Totaljoint, sorry I can't help you.

Paul
