June 25th - Splendora, Texas (Creekside Edge)

Several other Pinz owners are putting together a day trip to Creekside Edge in Splendora, Texas, just north of the Houston area on June 25th.
As with most of off-roading venues (that aren't in AZ, CA, OR, NV, CO or ID) it's probably pretty tame by most measures but it's what we have to work with so we do.
If anyone from East Texas, Dallas, Houston, Austin or the College Station area wishes to join us, drop me a line.
The more the merrier.

Sounds cool! I haven't looked on this site in a really long while and saw this and had to join.
I have a 710K, had it 5 or 6 years and really enjoy it. I live in DFW area.
I also saw a post below about the place at Brazos Valley. I wish I had seen that sooner. I have recently raced dirtbikes there a couple of times and it is a great place. I would be nervous to take a vehicle on a lot of that stuff we raced on.
But please tell more about this event in Splendora, TX. Private land I presume?
What is planned? I know there is probably not much mud as it hasn't rained in a while. Kid friendly?
Give us the goods, we will try to cram it into our already overbooked summer schedule.

Hey BiggerHammer, thanks for the note.
I'd love to see you come down from Dallas (and perhaps bring along Carlos Salvetti) for the trip to Creekside Edge. However, this is just a day trip with no real agenda. It's a really nice venue with about 320 acres to explore but I certainly don't expect this to be one of those "epic" weekend long adventures that our fellow Pinz owners brag about hosting regularly in CA, AZ, CA, UT, NV, OR or WA. It's just a close by off-roading venue that a recently (for me) discovered resource.
We will have 3 or 4 other Pinzgauers in attendance so please do join us if your schedule allows but don't expect too much if you come on down.
Stay cool up there in Big D.....
David

It looks like we have 4 Pinzgauers joining us next weekend and probably a couple of G-Wagons and maybe even some "normal" vehicles. If you're anywhere in the region, come on out and try to join us for next weekend's run.

I am still in for the 25th. What time do you want to meet at the park?

Sounds like fun but looks like we probably won't be able to make it. I still have my hopes up however. What is the location of the property, in case we can get it worked out to be there?

The property is located north of the Houston area about 30 minutes. Here's a link to their website.

Photos from today's gathering. 4 Pinzgauers, one G-Wagon and one big old 1980's vintage 4X4 Suburban.

Any pinz people near Austin?

Nathan,
Thanks for the note. Timothy Woodcock is in Kileen and I presume there are some Pinz owners in Austin and in San Antonio. Drop me a PM with your email so I can give you a heads up when we plan to get a group together again for another trail run.
