Aussie C303

Hi everyone.
Thought I would post some information on my Volvo C303 and a bit of its history.
It came from an agricultural contracting business (Pursehouse Rural?) at Quirindi NSW. It was setup with a spray tank and boom spray for crop spraying, I believe they had a few of them. They sold them off and went to larger vehicles like the Unimog. Friends of mine bought this one in about 1986 and I bought it from them in 1988.
The chassis has been strengthened at the front shock absorber mounts, I presume because of the high spray tank weights and other gear and rough paddocks. The motor has been changed to a Ford six cylinder alloy head petrol motor, 4.1L, from the locally built Cortina, I had the motor rebuilt in 1993. It has not done a great deal of work since.
We used it on our cattle property, until we sold it a couple of years ago, for general work. The local country is steep hills and the Volvo was ideal for moving stock feed, fencing or carting cattle in the crate I made for the back.
Not sure what I will do with it in the future, it has been sitting in a shed for the last couple of years. I got it out last weekend and took it for a drive around our small paddock. I will try and put some pictures up as well.
Mechanically it is in good condition but the cab is suffering from some rust.
There is not much known about them in Oz, so I hope this gives a bit of background for others and where there vehicles may have come from. I wont guarantee the accuracy but it is the best I can remember.
regards
Bruce
