Keeping my fingers crossed
Well after receiving my care package from E.I. I went straight to work to finally cure my pinz of its bad habit of leaving me stranded after a 30 minute ride and coming back to a non starting condition after a few minutes of rest. I purchased a new cap, rotor, and pertronix unit and also 2 carb rebuild kits. Since UPS delivered at 4 pm I figured I would have enough time to get it all installed with the exception of the carb kits. After the installation I noticed an immediate improvement in starting and more power on the top end. The engine seemed to run smoother and acceleration was improved. Since I am on vacation I figured I may as well test the pinz and see if it was going to leave me stranded once again. I drove for my usual time and went shopping for some 30wt oil for the pinz and came back, sliiped behind the wheel....talking to myself ....please..please...comeon....I dont want to stop at the pub tonight and wait..while you cool down...I turned the key...pressed the starter button ....and the pinz sprang to life....EUREKA!!!!!...IS THIS FINALLY SOLVED????? IM NOT SURE!!!!!...The last time I thought I solved the issue...it lasted for one day..and then recurred again...Tomorrow will be the litmus test if it behaves itself then my diagnosis of a igntion issue was correct...and if it turns out to be a fuel issue then I will be ready for round two!!!...wish me luck!

I hope you solved it!!!!!
But this reminds me of a problem I had which was the lining of the gas tank was coming off the tank and clogging the lines and I would wait for it to settle before it would start again I also replaced a whole lot of stuff before I figured out it was something simple like cleaning the tank . Hope you fixed it but if not check you gas tank!

Yes...you are right I had read about the red death in many posts and was curious about the condition of my tank so I had already pulled the drain plug and check the condition of the fuel coming out. I did find small flecks of the lining but not many and as I said very small particles which would easily be caught by the fuel filter. I checked further upstream at the small conical filter housed in the fuel pump and saw nothing so I know red death is not my issue....YET!....speaking to Scott from E.I. he seemed to think it was a carb issue. In my gut I disagreed with that line of thinking because it runs great for 20-30 minutes and then refuses to start after leaving it sit for a few minutes..once sufficiently cool will start and run once again. Scott said these carbs do some strange things so I bought the kits anyway..its always good to be prepared!...anyhow today is the test....im gonna drive her hard!....and put her away wet!....that is unless shes a bad girl..and leaves me in the woods stranded! LOL....I may have to be prepared for that as well...a sandwich and a cooler of beers....and a cellphone!
