Oil cooler and seal replacement

I finally got around to replacing my oil cooler, thermostat, seals, and base gasket.

Image

Here's the engine before I got started.

Image

Oil cooler assembly removed. Just remove the 4 nuts on the thermostat housing and lift everything out.

Image

Assembly on the vise. Not IN the vise! 4 nuts hold the cooler onto the thermostat housing.

New parts and gaskets. Now is the time to replace the fuel pump gaskets if they are leaking. Thermostat O-ring not shown.

Everything re-installed. No more leaks! Lucky for me the thermostat only goes in one way, I didn't pay attention when I removed the old one.

Is that your stash of $100 bills for Pinz parts in that plastic tub.

Like most stuff on the Pinz, pretty easy once you get into it.

$100 bills is a roll of TP, the grenade is a shift knob I bought at O'Reilly's for $6. Might put it in the Pinz, might not.
