I was setting the timing on my newer tan pinz after a civilian conversion and noticed it has both a red and white mark. Which do i use? I could remove the cap and try to line the distributor up to #1 TDC if i get a few moments but i was hoping someone would know off hand.

One might have been set to indicate before or after TDC to compensate for altitude.
Mine is set for above 5000 feet...different than when I lived at sea level. A timing light that is set
for 8 deg. was used to set the timing.
