air correction jets..

so i've been rebuilding my carbs.... first one was missing one of the air correction jets, no big deal. I ordered a set of two from expedition imports with the only part # I could find in the manual. when I got them, they were labeled 210. the original is labeled 230, I replaced them both. Now, I get to the second carb and they are both 230 as well. will the 210's make a big enough difference that I should try and find the 230's elsewhere? also if anyone has a part # on those I'd appreciate it. I need to order a piston pump anyway, as the one in my second carb was in pieces.

Yes they need to be the same. If you dont want to rereplace your new ones you just ordered go to a buy a set of jet files or go to race engine builer and see if they have a set you can borrow. They are about $15 for an econo set.
I like to "fine tune" my VW carbs with files.
a pair of 210's can easly be opened up to to 230

Mine have got 200's fitted, wondering whether I should open them up a bit to help with my rich running problem?
