Spare tire cover....

I am looking into getting a custom wheel cover made for my spare tire by a fellow Ural owner in the US, who also does upholstery work for Urals...as well as being a Fire Fighter. He makes tonneau covers, lap robes, ural spare tire covers and gel seat slips, to name a few, out of quality material and in many of your favorite camo patterns. Please keep in mind these are not the "alice pack" covers you can get on eBay for $10. They may run about $150 and will have a sewn in bungee to hold the tire. I am still discussing this with him and I do not benefit at all from this, just thought I would share. He also mentioned he could add the Steyr-Puch logo, if requested. Obviously, some of us run different tire sizes, so I am sending measurements for my 265/75R16 (31") tire. I have also read that people really want to keep the functionality of the door chain, so I asked if he could open a slot, with either reinforced stitching or leather tabs, to accommodate the chain. We may get a deal if more people order, but I cannot promise anything....and not why I posted.

Some of the camo options and Bobby's work below. I have a multicam tonneau cover for my bike and I love it.

If people are interested, I can pass on the details.

You're running 265s and some folks run as big as 285s. If he can somehow come up with a design that works for all, he might sell a few of them here.

Cool. I am going to send the measurements for mine, so depending on how he makes it with the bungee, he may be able to accommodate a 285. He also has no issue with the chain, and will sew in a flap to keep it closed when not used. He also has OD duck canvas too, in case people prefer that.. I don't care to much about the fading, which nylon does apparently, so it is a toss up between the Multicam or Forest camo. I may try and find some CADPAT material and send it to home....or flectarn....so many ideas!!

Mopar,

I had a guy in San Diego that made boat tops make a top for my Mog. A bikini top is a relatively easy thing to make
and should be no issue for someone to make for you. Don't use Sunbrella fabric, it leaks.

My contact is in the US and is willing to make things even if it is a one-off. He just needs measurements.
