Just seeking some input on the hard cab model of the halflinger.
I have a lead on a RHD hard top for a decent price. Strong runner. Just needs some cosmetic love.

Any input? Anyone know or seen pricing on these.
More rare?

Poly cabs are nice if complete, especially if they are LWB AP703 config.

Definitely more rare. While it is very hard to gauge given the rapidly increasing asking prices for all Haflingers, I think you will probably be looking at paying an extra $1-2K USD for a polycab over the exact same vehicle but with open body.

In addition to the "cute little pick-up" factor, the fact that you have better foul weather shelter than the standard Haflinger is a plus is your live in cold/rainy climates. Entry and exit of the cab is a little more restricted than the open cab vehicles. As far as replacement parts go, the side window molding is currently not available. Hopefully, the truck in question has the side rubber in good condition. I know some owners remove their side doors in good weather.

That is a pretty steep price but you will be getting an extremely rare truck in the deal. A 703APK with RHD in good shape is not something you will see very often. Polycabs are certainly a rarity in North America already. The RHD just makes it that more interesting and unique.

As Jim said, it is a rare animal, but you need to ask yourself how well will you adapt to "left hooking it" shifting. A lot of rhd Land Rovers have been imported over the years and the owners never thought much of being on the 'gutter side'... but it gets old quick for some, and they sell them off.

I'm not trying to talk you off, but for something to think about. My Supacat is RHD, but is auto trans... driving from the wrong side has never been awkward for me, but reaching for the shifter still is.... ... just don't do it often

It's another basket case haf.
The orange one is ok. Need work. Not running. Looked solid though.
He is selling a few poly cabs over the next year.

Patrick was great really worked a great deal for me on it.

Excluding your new truck, the orange Kommunal polycab and the camo tarped Haflinger, how many ohter trucks did you see? I know of several people who would be interested in polycab trucks and would be happy to point them his direction.
