Stabilizer for Diesel?

Looking for some direction from the Diesel Gurus on the forum.
I am the proud owner of a Diesel G-Wagen, but have never owned a diesel before.
Since I will be storing it for the winter, will I need to stabilize the fuel as I normally do for gasoline?

Water will collect on the top of diesel fuel but does not break down like pump gas. Others can advise on te best additivives t comat such. I wouldn't worry about it.

I've been driving diesels since '82, the biggest thing is having a good water seperater/ filter.
Buy your fuel from a station that sells a lot of fuel.
Neither of the above answers your question, but a basic.
I have never had to do anything to the fuel for "long time" storage.
My F700 (with Cummin 5.9L) has the same fuel in it from over 3 years ago... it was just started 5 days ago (last being started 6 months ago).
The M1094 (Cat 6,6L)has the same fuel in it from ? years ago when parked by the military and stored in North Carolina.
Both these trucks fire right up after long time of sitting, as is true with my Supacats (VW1.9TDI).
What I would recommend is on your last fillups before storing is to use Diesel #1(cold weather) to prevent gelling.

Interesting article on the epicenter website. Microbes reproducing in diesel...didn't see that one coming!!
I'll top up with winter diesel and put in an additive just before I tuck her in for the winter.

Not legal here in NY but home heating oil has the microbe killing stabilizers in it. Some of the guys with big boats use it for the last fill-up of the summer before winter storage.

He he.....I once watched a guy start an old WW2 AEC Matador that had been parked outside for 20 years.......tank was nearly full, he just put a battery on it, turned it over a few times the get the diesel flowing and she fired up and drove......try that with new electronic engines or 20 year old Benzine/Petrol/Gasoline.
