It would probably be tough to put a number to that question. don't forget he started the 712DK build. I don't know what ever became of that truck but the concept was very interesting, it just needed a larger power plant.
He worked for EI in charge of special projects so you could either count those trucks or not. His background in the automotive industry gave him some very interesting ideas but sadly he was not as forthcoming to the community with them as some would have preferred. I would like to have seen some of his ideas have a chance in the minds of some of the very talented people in the pinz community. I am sure he still has some very interesting ideas rattling around in his grey matter that would be great to know about.

I've seen this truck at their shop earlier this year. Brian showed it to me. It is a really nice rig with lots of custom features, like side lights mounted inside the K antenna mounts.

for $55k it better be really nice
I was just interested in the trucks he worked on before EI

A lot depends on what you would consider a build. In the early years he started with simple paint and clean ups, using some of the local shops to get the work done. As time progressed he found independent people to do the work he needed done. The largest project I am aware of was the 712DK project. I am not aware of the total number of trucks he has had his hands on and sold.

Brian has 20-30 trucks to his credit both with and without EI. What you or I might consider a build Brian might not. He quit posting into the forums when he got tired of the ill informed assumptions about vehicles and what they should or shouldn't cost.

So lets take for example his 712DK, and this is just a short off the top of my head list:

You will notice that the word CUSTOM is used a lot above. Custom also comes with a price. You bet I could get Brians truck down into the mid 40 range if I had orders for 100 pieces. Obviously not the world we live in.

The point is that his truck would easily tag out at 70-80K if a customer were to ask us to build a duplicate truck for them today. 55K is a deal on his truck.........and the simple proof is show me a similar vehicle that is cheaper?

And don't forget you have not even put down the amount of time that has gone into the 712DK. I would think that even at just minimum wage the labor cost alone would be more than the asking price.

That was an excellent rundown on the myriad ways this truck is worth the asking price. Nice job Brian!

But honestly, "mood lights" in a Pinz? Couldn't you have called them blackout interiors, or something?

My post was not to question your pricing or the build - I was just saying that for that kind of money it should be a nice truck because for me (read toys) $55k is lot - if I was running a business and had to have a vehicle to get people to a hunting spot or ?? then $55k may not be as large a number esp with all the custom work that has been done.
For some $55k is their toy money so there is obviously a market for all budgets.

I started this post as I really am just fascinated with his work - I first saw his work on Gear's 710M that was for sale a while back.
I was 1st to see that truck and am kicking myself for not buying it on the spot (it sold the next day).
It looked brand new both inside, outside and underneath!
