WA state: Meetup in Gig Harbor Sun, Dec-16

I would like to invite any and all to come to the Tides Tavern, Saturday afternoon beginning at 2pm December 8th, 2012 to take over the parking lot with your Pinz, Unimog, Volvo, Halfie, Deuce and a half, sherman tank, half track, (even in a Buick if thats how you roll...) The Tides is located on the waterfront of Gig Harbor, across the Tacoma Narrows bridge if you are coming from the eastern parts.
2925 Harborview Dr, Gig Harbor, WA 98335
Im hoping to meet a few of you and take over the parking lot with our menagerie of militaria, then have some food and beverages. As some of you may know, I recently got my C303 and have begun restoration on it. Before I can go any further, I wanted to take her out one last time. After this, I wont be driving her for a while since I will be ripping out wiring and starting to take off body panels and roof, etc. SO, I hope we can meet!
Please POST HERE if you can come! IF Sunday would be better for you, we will adjust (my schedule is open, but we will go with whatever the majority wants.)
First round is on me for whoever shows!

Saturday works for me, I'll drive the 712 out for some fish and chips. Sunday I am flying out to Hawaii, It is our 25th aniversery on 12-12-12.
Look forward to seeing your Volvo and meeting you.

Excellent! Hopefully we can get TotalJoint and NoahDL88 to join us!
On a separate note, got the new GoPro Hero3 Black Edition vid camera today....holy schmokes that thing is awesome. I will be using it from now on to document the C303 restoration.

Aww man! We're heading up to the mountains that day. I suppose if we head back early we could meet up with you guys, provided you're staying later than 5 ish.

Well its a close maybe for me - I am working down in Haiti this week but come back to Seatac airport on Saturday about 1pm... hummmm....

If it works better for everyone else to meet on Sunday, I am fine with skipping and just heading out to Madmax's place sometime after I get back. Noah and Chris are good guys and can pick up the slack in my absence. If Chris wants to make it down on Sunday since it is the farthest for him move the date. Hopefully Ed can make it down and Steve can make it up to the gathering as well.

Sunday does work better for me, but I know there is no way we'll get everyone together anyway.
I'll be there if it's a Sunday, but will have to bow out if it's this Saturday, either way there are plenty of weekends ahead of us.

Well, considering the posts, I suggest we make it easier on everyone and lets move it one week ahead to the following saturday, the 15th. How does that work out for everyone? Id rather it be at a time where no one has to push to get there, and it seems like several of you have things happening right before or right after it.
How does the 15th sound for everyone?

You're finding out what herding cats is like.
I tried to get the local Pinzgauer folks together a few years ago. Still haven't met, I applaud your efforts!
I'm working the weekend of the 15th.
Don't let that deter you guys. It's a long drive in the rain from up here anyway. I'm more of a dry weather driver in the 712.

Well - don't try and change it to fit my schedule - I am going to be gone that next weekend unfortunately. I just checked my return flight and its later than I remembered on Saturday - I don't get in until 9pm to Seatac. I also won't be able to come down on Sunday as I should try and see my kids once in a while...

Do I have a truck problem or an alcohol problem if I am willing to drive 3+ hours in a Pinzgauer for a beer?
I'm seriously considering this. What is the current date/time planned?

Its looking like SUNDAY, DEC 16th from 2pm-6pm is going to be the best time to get the most people there. I think we should go with that.
