I had seen Pinzgauers fitted with low-profile wheels on the german forum (I searched again and only found broken links...), the purpose was to lower the overall height in order to allow the trucks to fit on a train (some European railway companies have so-called "auto-train" connections, mostly on North-South lines during summer), saving the owners the trouble of long highway travel. I'd have thought a kinetic rescue from ten tons of whatever tractor that is wil certainly pull the dents out of the body work, if not lengthen the wheelbase....
