I need to replace the flex exhaust duct on my Espar heater. This is the 2-1/4" corrugated aluminum flex duct that connects the heater exhaust to the metal exhaust pipe. Seems to be impossible to find. Even SAV is no stock. Anybody have a source?
Any help appreciated...

Try
http://www.mcmaster.com and search for aluminum duct hose.
I'm not familiar with the Espar heater but maybe this will work

I fitted a Webasto (rather than an Eberspacher) to the 712.....Webasto Australia had the pipe readily available and could supply on demand.
I assume Eberspacher USA (or Webasto USA) would be the same.

You might try a muffler business...
I'm using a mil surplus heater and let my muffler shop run Flex Pipe from the heater exhaust to a rigid pipe that comes out under the tool box.
Those muffler guys have many sizes of flex pipe, check with your muffler guy.

this is what i did. be careful with your measurements or plan on buying more when your first order doesnt fit.
I also used metal duct tape to further close off the exhaust hole.

Tried the muffler shop angle and that turned out to be a bust.
Ordered the above mentioned duct today from McMaster. Should be here soon. Will let you all know how it fits.
Thanks!

The McMaster duct is just slightly bigger in o.d. than ideal. Also it is too rigid to secure with a standard hose clamp. That all being said, it looks like it will do the job.
edit: I have a picture, but can't seem to get it to upload.

You need to use a muffler clamp on it.

If you cut the duct and fold it back in on itself then clamp it works just fine.

This duct is waaay too thick and stiff to do that. Good idea though! If it was a little more pliable, I might give it a try. The duct that I got is so rigid that it pretty much stays in place even without being clamped. In any case, it 1000% better than it was before.
