Black 712 in the new movie Pacific Rim

It's a futuristic sci fi, with an antique vehicle. 
Looks to me like they snagged a 712 ambulance and discarded the box and doors, then painted it all black. They mounted some cool gear here and there, but it was the bumperettes that really made me notice.
