Well, last week had #3 exhaust valve go rogue on the freeway, The head of the valve snapped off and dove through the piston after beating the head , cylinder and piston into submission. So I have spent the last several days digging through my spares to complete a replacement.
Blown engine was put in 7+ years and 35,000 miles ago (used long block) after a cam plug failed wiping out all 4 pistons on the original engine.
Luckily, I had a spare engine with new bearings and prototype (HP)cam grind partially built on the stand(the original engine). Managed to scrape up a set of stock 92's with short cylinders and salvage enough parts to make 4 useable heads
Pictures will follow soon, going back outside now to start swapping engines, Hope to be running by tomorrow

Sorry to hear about your troubles. But it reassures the rest of us that breakdowns occur even to the you. Somehow, that's like discovering that even God sweats when it's hot.

And while we may keep pace with you on breakdowns, it's probably fair to say that you typically set the bar for repairs. Thanks for all your input here.

Biggest thing here is that what Jim can finish off in a few days would have my vehicle sitting in bits for months

Back on the road Dan, I cheated, most of my engine has been built sitting on the stand for a very long time .
I am back onto yours now. Your Motor may be running sooner than you think . Finishing suspension work and door glass today.

What I ment was that what takes you days would take me months to do myself - heck I am 2+ weeks into a simple clutch cable repair on my Hafi

Ok now that that is cleared up......... WOW that damage is NUTS!

New cam working good, pulls nice on acell. Still have some re tuning to do, but already made good base adjustments.
