How are the DRings mounted?? Are they welded?

Look to be welded. I see no bolts and I think I see a weld line at the edges of the brackets.
Would not be my cup of tea, each to his own.

That's only, what, 10 or 8 gauge steel that its welded to? Could be dangerous.

My guess is for trailering. It would be handy for quick tie down scenarios

Still not much strength for the constant beating they would take as tie downs.

Guys: The PO did this. They do not look like they have ever been used by the PO either. I have never used them nor do I intend to. They are a joke
I will eventually remove them.

I’ve seen a number of interesting modifications done by PO on other trucks too.
