Need advice on what to look for when purchasing a Pinz

I'm in SE Florida and I'm in the process of looking at and hopefully purchasing a 710K in a couple of months. I've been looking to purchase one for the last 10 years. Need advise on exactly how to conduct the inspection, ie. what to listen for concerning the motor, transmission, differentials. Likely areas of rust and any hidden possible locations for rust. Leaks.
Any help would be greatly appreciated
Thanks

Here's a good starting point, an inspection checklist:

...also if you know someone that has one perhaps they would go with you to point out a few things. Using the list that Paul has linked is a very good idea.
Chances are if it is a Florida vehicle the rust may be minimal. You folks don't use salt on the roads but you are between two bodies of salt water.

And the humidity is real low.
And no one drives on the beaches.
Or in salt marshes.

I know of a very, very clean 710K that's for sale. The only reason I know
about it is that I looked at it before I bought the one I have. It was clean,
but totally stock (no upgrades like ignition, etc.) I needed the extra space
and those three seats and the table would;t let me fit my mountain bikes in
back. If you can't find something local and you're serious about it, PM me.
It's currently in the upper central U.S. near the lake region.
(not near Milwaukee. lol)

The 710Ks are still in transit and I have to wait until the importer gets it cleared thru Customs and then registered with the DOT. From what he told me they are coming in from Serbia. So have to wait.
Pinz710m2, do you have any details on the one up in your area?

Low mileage (I think I remember 41,000 km, but I might be mistaken, 1973,
everything stock. It needed some serious cleaning. After that, you can add
as much or as little as you decide, but it's pretty straight, like it just came over.

Nope. This is not a priority for him. If you are serious,
PM me. If you are still looking, doing due diligence, etc.,
keep going and contact me when you are ready to pull
the trigger if you find the right vehicle.

There are better places to mount mountain bikes than on the inside!
Personally i'd mount it to the front of the truck, but you could have andre create a bracket for the rear as well. I could see solutions for the top via a overhead rack.
Leave the interior for all of the half naked women who will want to be by your side - now that you have a Pinz. CHICK MAGNET!

Thanks Ed, I've been checking that out also, just trying to figure how much it would cost for airfare and having the Pinz trucked over here to SE Florida would add to the overall cost.
