Silicone DOT5 brake fluid?

Has anyone converted to silicone brake fluid in any of the hydraulic systems in their Pinzgauer? If so did you experience any compatibility issues with the elastomers in any of the systems or difficulty flushing all the conventional fluid out?

I am installing a new brake master cylinder soon and I am considering going DOT5 for the possibility of less future maintenance of the system due to reduced corrosion.

The seals are incompatible with DOT 5.

I use silicon fluid in all my hydraulic systems in the 712 and have done since I rebuilt it over 16 years ago.
Initially I had a few problems with a couple of the original "factory supplied" seals, but after replacing with locally available PBR units have had no trouble at all and no corrosion.

Although I'm NOT using silicon in my 718 it's not because I don't like it, it's just that DOT 5 fluid availability is very poor/expensive these days and as the vehicle is been rebuilt for touring around Oz locally/readily available fluids are preferred.

Thanks for the feedback. I went with conventional fluid.
