Hairline Crack in Valve Cover

The #3 valve cover has a very small 2" crack near the fixing stud that holds the valve cover on.
My question is weld it, or replace the valve cover ?. I'm assuming it's aluminum.

SAV has 'em for $52 new, $29 used. I'd replace it and be done with it.

Besides, China just called and they want your old cover to melt down into Harbor Freight tools...

No Doubt.
It appears to me that SAV lowered their prices on them since I looked last week.
I'm replacing it.
