Posting Photos made easy ??

 Posting Photos made easy ??

Navigate to the picture you want to post (must be on the web someplace any of us could view it without having to log on, some place like photobucket or any other "public" file sharing site)
For this example I’ll use a 721m coming out of a water hazard (perhaps some will recognize it)
Image
Right click on the picture
Select properties
Right click and drag across the address to highlight in this case http://real4x4forums.com/PinzgauerBBS/t ... _phpBB.gif
Once highlighted right click and select copy
Now in the in the message you are posting click on the “Img” button
This will cause “[img]” to appear in the message body
Now place your curser just after the [img] and right click and select paste
Now click the words “Close Tags” just under the “Img” button you clicked on earlier
Now click on Preview and see if things went the way you wanted if so go back and finish the post

Please remember to resize the photos and save them as jpg’s or gif’s generally no larger than 800x600 or better yet 640x480 or smaller, bigger than this is usually just a waste of bandwidth. If using windows xp my favorite resize is Microsoft’s free “Image Resizer Powertoy” at http://download.microsoft.com/download/ ... ySetup.exe

I know, clear as mud. This isn’t the only way to do it, however it works for me.

I have always been baffled why so many people here post straight links here and no actual pics. Its incredibly easy. Hopefully your tutorial will prompt a few more people to do it the right way. PS, you can also just click the IMG button after you paste the URL. The IMG button will look like this if it has a tag to close. IMG*

See how easy it is. Side by side images will be tags back to back. Images one on top of the other will have one blank text line between them.
