Re: 710M vs Garage Height
I pulled off my rear canvas and my pinz fits without airing down the rear tires. It hits the vinyl door seal but I don’t care. I’m going remove the old crunchy rear canvas and bows and just leave the rear roll bar on. I do park it outside sometimes and will just tarp the cab or have custom cover ...

Re: Smaller steering wheel with power steering?
There are companies and businesses out there that restore and customize steering wheels for the antique and collector car folks.

Re: 710M vs Garage Height
My empty truck lowers 2.5 inches from 40 psi down to 3. Measured at the bottom of my class 3 hitch receiver.
If I put a 4 ft level on my truck bed side it slopes downward to the rear 1/4 inch in the length of the 4 ft level at 40 psi. This about exactly matches the slope of my garage floor. So my ...

Re: 710M vs Garage Height
710M here.
I have a block home with a 7ft garage opening measured from the concrete floor to the steel lintel. The added 1/4 molding with the rubber seal for the door brings my clear opening to 83 3/4 inch with a very slight downward slope of my driveway to the street.

Re: Insurance Help
I have maintained collector car insurance from State Farm here in southern Az for the past 2 decades. This meets my needs and gets me out of the annual local emissions testing. I would have sold my pinz years ago if I had to screw with emissions testing.

Happy Holidays from the sonoran desert.
I’ve been recruited this year to haul some Boy Scouts in our annual Holiday Light Parade. I’ve been contemplating decorating the Pinz for my yard display for years so this was a good excuse to get it done.

Instrument Panel LED light Bulbs - Any Available?
I’m in the process of replacing my color tiles in my dash indicator light strip I have a new strip here I’ve had for years. I’m either going to replace the whole assembly or use the tiles out of it. I’m wondering if there are any little 24v LED bulbs I should use in lieu of the stock bulbs. I have ...

Re: Custom door panels
That's a great idea. I just made new ones form hardboard and painted with SAV's spray paint. I will certainly consider this next time. How close is their OD green to Swiss green? There are so many OD greens.
The match is actually better than what is shown in the photos. It’s not perfect but ...

2nd set I’ve had on the truck. I can air down the back with deflators and get the truck in my garage If needed (7 ft. high garage door opening) I didn’t want to go any bigger.

Re: Custom door panels
My old truck needed some new door panels. I wanted mine OD green and that left me with OEM, aluminum that I would have to paint, or something else. That something else was .080 thick Kydex T sheet in OD green. I found an online supplier that would ship me partial sheets. 2 x 3 sheets are perfect for ...

Does 10% low reading with the 90 degree unit sound about right to you? Take it off, hook the speedo cable directly to the speedo, and report back...
I know this thread is several years old but today I decided to pull and lube my speedometer cable. I was curious on my speedo reading vs GPS with ...

Hi all.
I live in the Sonoran desert and our family has been the owner of a 1972 Pinz 710M for probably the last 20 or so years.
We have enjoyed it in various capacities over the years from the early days of remote camping and off-roading, to day trips shooting and quail hunting, and finally to ...
