The "push buttons" were circuit breakers. The Austrian trucks were usually not care for as well as the Swiss. Most all the Swiss Pinzes were rebodied and have less rust.
Look at the bed of the truck, what the shelter sits on, those are prone to heavy rust because of the moisture that stay in there. I looked at an AMB years ago, and most of the panels in the cargo area were almost gone.

The Swiss opted against some options, your truck has the brackets to fold and hold the windshield down.

Looking at the pics from ebay, your truck has a serious problem with rust where the rub rails were ( all the nutsert holes), and the right door appears to have problems too.

I see..., the door just has surface rust where the paint is chipped, it does have rust where the rub rails mounted, If theres no rust under the bed does that make it ok then??? or will it always be looked down on for being austrian??? Thanks for all your info so far!!!
