new bad gear noise

Post by 2012 »

last night i decided to try engaging the front drive shaft at 45 mph, just as a random test. this now causes some extra growling noise that sounds like something's going wrong. quite the bummer.

has anyone else had this happen? i don't know what it is, how much it will cost to fix, and i don't know who around here (orlando) can fix it.

2012, Never engage the front drive on dry pavement, it will bind and make noise, you could even snap an axle. I suggest you read the operating manual for all the details on proper times and terrains to engage.
Try it in the dirt before you determin if there is a real problem

ok, i drove it fast in the dirt. all lever modes seem smooth as a baby's butt. almost like it's posessed by an angel or something  .

good, then <whew> 8)
