My 295/75R16 BFG's measure just under 34" diameter and are mounted on 8" widened rims, I still get rubbing from the fronts on the edge of the tub when steering during reasonable articulation. With 35 or 36" tires you are likely to tear up the tires or tub at a pretty rapid rate (unless you don't turn or don't go off road!

I have 34x 10.50 and they don't rub. I have installed a 35.5 x 11 which is a Q78 16 and they didn't rub during steering but I didn't drive with them on there. It seems Peter F. in Australia has 35's on his I think. Perhaps the 710 v. 712 makes a difference as I have a 712 as well and think 35's would fit ok at least on mine.
